Workplace Services helping Federal Agencies build policy

Federal Agencies find a balance between policy and technology to meet Telework mandates
washington-dc The deadline is quickly approaching for federal agencies to report on their progress towards Telework enhancement. At the same time they must also meet the COOP, flexible workplace and real estate reduction mandates. These mandates all require agencies to set new policy and maintain productivity throughout the transition. With so many directions and options, understanding what is really important, and how to even begin meeting these mandates with AgilQuest technology can be overwhelming for Department heads.

One agency is not just on track to meet the mandates, but is already moving forward with new policy and beginning to think differently about the workplace with the help of AgilQuest. AgilQuest’s support throughout the OnBoard implementation process was not limited to providing the software and tools necessary, but more importantly in working alongside this agency to understand how it should fit into their internal policy and culture.

AgilQuest’s expertise and experience is conveyed to clients, like federal agencies, inside the technology we develop, within our implementation methodology, and as part of our installation service. This deep knowledge about what choices to make for each unique workplace sets AgilQuest apart from the rest of the industry. From our broad range of client environments, we have developed:

  • Experience with the different ways workplace rules can be applied
  • Experience with the different ways workplace technologies can be applied
  • And learned configuration options and best practices, allowing and guiding the use of our workplace technology to fit the existing workplace and corporate culture

By embedding these options in the software and leading new clients through a formal methodology, we increase the usefulness and improve the adoption of the changes that occur when implementing hoteling, check-ins, auto-bumps, and so much more. We understand the extensive array of selections available for each type of policy or choice and we understand the impact and effect those choices will have on an organization and their workforce.

The road to enhanced telework and hoteling policy

Using our proprietary OnBoard Workplace Management System Balance, our implementation helps clients consider how to handle situations they have never encountered before. In this case, the federal agency’s policy was intertwined with the OnBoard Balance and AgilQuest experience to determine the best configuration options to support enhanced telework and hoteling.

For example, the agency knew they wanted to implement hoteling and a reservation system, but they had to decide whether or not to require check-in for everyone and even how to check-in (i.e. security, network, Kiosk, etc). The AgilQuest implementation team worked with them through each option, explained the end results, and were able to make changes on the fly to ensure the best experience for the end user. icon-000008108673

This combination of technology, leadership and knowledge helped the agency team to deploy changes quickly and meet mandates on time. This federal agency knew they could count on AgilQuest for experienced answers days, nights and weekends… around the clock.
