Navigator makes it easy to Create, Manage and View Reservations
Administrators can reserve space quickly and easily using Navigator's speadsheet-like reservation console. Settings determine which space resources are displayed (e.g. conference rooms or offices) to reduce the on-screen information to only that which is needed.
Administrators can also add equipment or services to a room reservation, and can specify a variety of reservation options, such as sending an email to the reservation owner, making the reservation private or switching the owner's phone to the reserved space. OnBoard Navigator also helps with visitor management, which can be important for an organization's security. A visitor can be checked in and their photo can be added to his profile.
Navigator Manages Users and Resources
Administrators can add both users and resources to the database through the OnBoard Navigator. Every end-user of OnBoard must have a profile in the OnBoard database before he can make reservations and schedule resources.
Once a user is in the database, planners can manage his individual profile in a number of ways. They can set rules that dictate how the user makes reservations, such as the maximum number of workspaces he can reserve each day and his spending limits. The user will only be able to reserve resources that are included in the allocation assigned to him in his profile. They can also set the user's "one-click" preference, an OnBoard feature that allows users to create a reservation with literally "one click."
Administrators can use the OnBoard Navigator to set rules for resources that determine how the resources are reserved and used. Some settings are specific to the type of resource, for example, some resources can only be reserved by authorized people, or emails can be sent to certain people when those resources are reserved. Other settings are specific to the type of resource, such as setting the floor on which a conference room is located or the inventory of a type of equipment.
Navigator Manages Facilities
The OnBoard Navigator is used to manage facility information, too. The facility information that can managed includes the facility's location information, it's number of floors; and the business rules such as the hours that the facility is open and the times during which users can create reservations for resources within the facility. Planners can also create exemptions for the facility's rules so that reservations are not bumped during the exemptions.
Navigator Manages Vendors
Vendors (such as caterers or service providers) are an important part of an OnBoard application. Administrators can add vendor information and their offerings to the OnBoard application through the OnBoard Navigator. They can enter the cost of the vendor's offerings, choose which facilities the vendor services and have emails sent to the vendor when their services are added to a request or reservation.
OnBoard Navigator helps manage phone switching in a number of ways. Administrators can use the switch console to monitor switch activity. On this console, you can verify that phone switches are carried out successfully and check for errors. Historical switch activity can also be accessed through the switch console.
