GSA's journey in workplace and workforce transformation has produced a model program that meets federal mandates and the needs of today's mobile, interconnected worker. In Washington, D.C., this modernization project doubled GSA's building occupancy and reduced the agency's real estate footprint. GSA is now sharing their transformative model, mobility toolbox and support to other government agencies in form of its "WorkPlace+" program and services.
With the mantra "Work is What you Do, Not Where you Do It," GSA designed physical and digital environments to foster a culture of productivity, innovation and collaboration while balancing workplace efficiency, mobility and environmental stewardship. The resulting toolbox includes a robust Telework Policy, focus on performance metrics, cloud based and mobile technologies, and hoteling software.
