HBR Finds Freedom of Choice is the Secret to Productivity
Among the talented professionals that make up today’s workforce, the secret to a fulfilling career is a sense of freedom, as recently reported in an article by the Harvard Business Review. The article is based on a report released by Forrester in 2009 that estimates that by 2016, 43 percent of the US workforce are expected to telecommute, nearly double the amount of people working from home at the time of the report. The study also finds that a mobile work environment is mutually beneficial for the worker and the company. Not only are workers reportedly more productive, companies that adopt the practice are “more likely to report revenue growth of 10% or more.”
